Description: We The Scwhartz Family have a unique sound. We mix christian and country with a little bit of bluegrass. The majority of our music is original.
Biography: The Schwartz Family is made up of 7 members. Their bass player, Tobey Schwartz, writes most of the music and has enjoyed having his songs recorded by professional groups such as The Inspirations and Malachi. Jesse Schwartz, one of their drummers, sings lead on many of the songs and he wrote the title track to their latest album "Scars". Rita Schwartz-Taylor also takes her turn at lead vocalist and has been writing songs for the group as well. Carma Schwartz-Kelley is the keyboardist for the group. She sings mostly harmony and also writes songs for the group. Carma is married to their guitar player Jayson Kelley. Jayson has been playing for a few years now and has been a wonderful addition to the group. His father Jay Kelley has also joined the group and plays just about anything with strings on it. Jay sings lead on some songs and has also written a few for them. Their other drummer is Michael Keely. Michael is a cousin and started playing with them whenever he can. He is a very talented young drummer and is always a joy both on stage and on the bus!
The Schwartz Family began singing gospel music with their parents at a very young age and although Mom and Dad no longer travel with them they are still a very big part of their ministry. This is a family who loves the Lord and has one common goal each time they take the stage and everyday in their working lives and that is to save the lost. They write songs about real life and heaven and our sure to have something for everyone to hear.

We, The Schwartz Family, are a christian country group from southern MI. We have a little bit of bluegrass mixed in with a little country and top it off with singing about our Lord and Savior. We have opened for the likes of Marty Raybon. We write most of our music and Tobey Schwartz (our bass player and mc) has had his music recorded by Malachi and The Inspirations (a song called "I Will Praise Him" that was a top 10 song of 2006) Our song "One Heart At A Time" was our first charting song as a group and our latest charting song written by Tobey's brother Jesse "Just Goodbye For Now" went to #4 on the Powersource bluegrass charts in August of 2007. We would love to be a part of any oportunity available. Whether it be a church or a festival. We travel to just about anywhere in the United States in our "big blue bus."
