Biography:
In the spring of 1984, Andrew Wartts made a telephone call from Bloomington Illinois to Guitarist Earl Wright in St. Louis, Missouri. Wartts wanted to know from Wright if he would be interested in doing an album together. The two had worked together when they were young men for several years in the popular gospel group, The Tyler Singers and remained close friends. This was the orgin of the Gospel Storytellers. Their first Album, “There Is A God Somewhere” was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee at the now defunct Champ Recording Studio. Their next CD was “The Sand House Collection” and a third CD is scheduled for release in late December of 2007.
